@Tomasina1616 Yes, this was the way it should still be today - the Osmond Brothers (with Merrill up front) headlining the whole show with Jimmy and Donny & Marrie as added acts.

I've been asking Donny for years to find out who has the rights to this "Moving On" special,(and to the earlier He Ain't Heavy Special), so they could be re-released one day. So far nothing, but I'm still hoping. Thanks so much for sharing part of it. I'd LOVE to see more if you're willing to post more of what you have. I too recorded the audio on tape, and it's wonderful to see again, even in B&W. Thanks!

In '74 It had to been shot in color, but this looks like the old B&W BetaMax recordings. You didn't see to many of those around, they were usually found at the universities or news rooms, and if you knew someone who worked at either place sometimes they could borrow it and record a show for you. It was a HUGE machine and weighed a ton. But hey, that was so high-tech back then!

Glued to the set back then. My best friend and I. Way before Vcr's--is this even availiable anywhere. I enjoyed Donny and Marie, but my heart was for the Osmond Brothers...I admit it
