  • Can you sew these but using hand sewing instead?

  • @Charrister Meaning can we sew a pair of jeans with hand sewing? I wouldn't suggest it since jean fabric is so thick. I wouldn't trust the finished product of hand-sewn denim.

  • can i sew a new pair of jeans with the sewing machine?? like can i sew my own clothing with this sewing machine, and it has great tension and hold??

whats your review on the machine??

  • @finessence808 hi there! Yes you can make clothing that is durable with this machine, nothing ridiculously difficult of course. Some things are left to a better or just different machines. You should use a needle that says it's for jeans or thicker fabrics. Also denim gets harder to sew as you add layers, in some cases it would be better left to a factory machine for better motor strength and endurance.

  • Thanks so much for the altering tips on jeans. I made a pair of jeans and the pattern legs were to long. Didn't know it until I tried them on and didn't know how to alter them. Now I can redo them heming again the right way. I enjoy your videos.

  • @freetosew thanks

  • There is a gizmo called Jean-A-Ma-Jig that you can buy that will help you through the thicker parts with absolute ease. They cost a few pence - although here in the UK they're very difficult to buy so I had to get mine from USA. Also it will help if you use a stregthened needle that is specific for denim - I use a size 16 - 18.

  • Excellent! just what I was looking for.

  • @giuliochris Thanks
