I confess. I have one. A glamour shot. But it's only to remind me how God sees me. To read more and comment, please click on the top Beliefnet banner to go to Beliefnet.com or go directly to 'Beyond Blue' at http://blog.beliefnet.com/beyondblue/
Knowing what you are going through. You lady are so far ahead from this than many of us. But, it has been your will and understanding of what your going through that will recreate that photo image of what you once lost. Eric is extreamly fortunate. THE SWAN IN YOU WILL RETURN.
(Sorry for typos in original version.) Much more important is that I generally reside in an extraterrestrial sphere of oppositeness with periodic forays into the earthly world (and, no, I am not schizophrenic/schizoaffective). This third dimension in which I have trapped myself and which is tethered to earth means my attempts to live the great gift of life by the beautiful principles you set as a challenge have been fraught with failure. As have my attempts to set my own meaningful standards.
Dear Therese (I know we don't know each other, but Ms. Borchard sounded too formal. Many of your "spiritual" espressions and founded in a strong faith in an established religion. Many of the important lessons you have to teach are dependent on supportive families, immediate and extended by a multitude of friendships. How would you proceed without either, especially while visiting the south pole when you are "Bluer than Blue" and mind-bogglingly anxious? And what does your mania look like?
But for whatever reason, I came to this video, in addition to a prayer that hit home that was in my devotional. And the whole "glamour shot" idea here ties into it all in more ways than one. But Therese, you are beautiful both ways, and thanks for this video. God does see us differently than we see ourselves, as do the ones who loves us for who we are. If only we could always receive it.
This could not have hit home any better than today, now. It just proves to me in my darkest and coldest moments, when my faith is lowest, that God is still with me. Like so many women, not just those in the throes of depression and anxiety, I also have never had a lot of confidence or self-esteem. Its hard to look in any mirror a lot of times and see anything worthwhile. I was feeling much the way you describe your friend, just this morning, for a number of reasons. cont
this was beautiful. i don't know who you are, but i THANK you and BLESS you for taking the time to record these thought. my name is Sheila. and i also see you as the beauty that you are. now, i will work on seeing myself as the beauty that i am. with gratitude...Sheila
I have to agree with the previous comment. You are beautiful - inside and out. Your honesty and openness are very helpful to me right now. I really like the analogy in this video. I hope you are having a good day.
haha... thanks for this...btw I think you are so much more beautiful when you have no makeup on... you have a natural beauty about you. thanks again... and again.
