One of the tenets of Web 2.0 is to contribute and invest yourself. You get more out of it that way. Yet more and more people just click through as spectators.
I show an example of this by looking at our site's referrals report. I wrote a blog entry including the full C# program to generate picks for an NCAA bracket. It was structured with interfaces, so anyone can pick up where I left off and write their own rules to make picks.
Now that March Madness is upon us, our site is getting hammered with people scrambling to write this type of code. I can see it in the referrals. Yet, there are no contributions, comments, or feedback.
