  • so how long did this car take to build and what were some of the problems with building it? also how much cash will you need aside from the parts? materials, supplies, did you guys figure all this in after everything was done?

  • The build manual is written poorly, but you can get help on factory five forums. It's a never ending project and initial build took roughly around 1500 hours. 20K for FFR GTM Kit 5-20K chevy LS--variant 15-20k on new vette parts [if not parting out vette] 5-10k Porsche Transaxle or equivalent 10+k Paint 5k+ Wheels 2.5K A.C. ---------------------- + 50k Assembly if you have it built and stored elsewhere. So if your not mechanically inclined you'll have to include build ~50k
  • Ok, this may be a stupid question, or one that would be resolved when I actually drove a GTM, but the only thing that I've never loved is the interior of this car... the angle of the center console seems too high. I'd prefer a short shifter with a level center console. Can the frame be modified w/o sacrificing something?

  • yeah you could, you would lose some structural support to level the console but it could be modified. I actually agree with you and we have a mock up a some variations you mentioned. we also removed the 'hump' over the gauge cluster.

  • Is the car finished yet? I'm getting my GTM this winter and planning on having a FFR car meet/show next summer at my restaurant and nightclub Wild Bill's here in Kansas City KS.

  • That would be awesome but I don't know if we'll still have this particular GTM.. It is done. Its heading to Florida to the duPont Showroom.
