  • I LOVE your tiny house! It is adorable and the customizations you made are wonderful! I hope to one day build my own tiny house and yours has given me a lot of inspiration and ideas! Do you live in your tiny house full time?? Did you build it all by yourself or did you have any help?

  • @horsefreak3579

Thank you! And I weeks at a time in hotels for work, but when I have time to myself, yes, this is my home. I did build it myself, but I had much-needed and appreciated help from a couple of people at different stages of the build. I did have a hand in every aspect of building it, though.

  • @JonathanBellows Awesome! It really does look great! How did you learn to engineer everything properly?? How did you get it to pass all of your local building codes? Thanks for answering my questions.

  • @horsefreak3579

I bought the plans for building my tiny house from Tumbleweed Tiny House company. This is their Fencl model. I modified it a bit, but for the most part I relied upon their plans for the engineering and code issues.

  • I am curious as to how you obtain your utilities? Where do you get the water for your shower, and also, how well are you doing with electricity. I would like to build a tiny house but there is one thing i refuse to sacrifice, and that is my computer. My computer sucks up a lot of power and im wondering if there is a solution for it?

  • @naterd00d

I collect rainwater for the shower, and I have solar panels for electricity. It was a pricey system to set up, and this time of year in Michigan (overcast most of the time) it doesn't put out much power, but it gives me 5 hours of low-impact computer time a day. Not enough some days, to be honest, but in summer, in a brighter region, or with a generator that can be overcome.

Only if you already have a place lined up where you can keep it. Living in a tiny house isn't a problem, it's convincing the rest of the world that it's okay that causes the difficulties. A lot of places have ordinances against small dwellings, so make sure to get that sorted out first.

  • Im planning on buying one of these before I go to college out of state. Do you think it would be a good idea?

  • @Dropkickpunk76

Heck, I hardly use the Wii and the TV anymore. I actually gave the Wii to my folks to use last week. It's Internet all the way for me!

  • @WutDahSHIZ

Thanks! It's just a sawdust toilet that I made myself. It's basically a receptacle; the composting is done in a bin outside.
