Lammebada is an Andalucian traditional song that was written near the end of the Reconquista (around 1492). It has been performed by various artists such as Fayrouz, Radio Tarifa, Christina Rosmini, La Mar Enfortuna and Maria del Mar Bonet.
Natacha is hit or miss for me, she's either great or... not. Best version of this song I've heard so far is by Radio Tarifa. It really gives me goosebumps.
@MrKompere Actually, last I checked, the music from Arabian Middle east is the origin or Andalusian Arabic Music..it just developed today to something shitty.
Natacha once said that many singers thru the years do this like a warm up, sorta like scales... it's nostalgic & everybody knows it.. plus it really puts your vocal range to work
@Amooretliban No, Arabic Andalusian music sounds quite specific and different from middle eastern music, you should listen to it as it's now performed in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia by people whome ancestors fled from Al Andalus.
