This is a couple different elevators at the Landmark Center in St Paul, MN. The first is an old hydraulic serving only the lower few floors. An interesting fact is this elevator runs in the original elevator shaft from when the building was built! It used to have an awesome open-cage elevator that was destroyed in the 1973 renovation. You can still see the original call button!

The seond set of elevators are Westinghouse traction elevators direct from the 1970's. Check out that wonderfully yellow interior! They serve floors 1-6.

  • Fuck the 1973 renovation. Insane modernizers.

Modernization is epic fail and for losers only

  • @ATITANIC1992 EXACTLY! They destroyed what would have been an awesome historic elevator.

  • 1st Elevator = Wow!

  • Yes, the first is hydraulic, since I heard the motor noise, and then the second is traction, since it's in the high rise part of the building.

  • read the discription. first one is hydraulic second one is traction.

  • Is this traction or hydraulic? But there's 3 words to say: Very nice elevators.
