SouthYorkshire fire authority says it will sack 744 of its firefighters if they will not accept changes to their contracts of employment. It is the first time mass sackings have been attempted in the fire service.
The battle may be on South Yorkshires turf but the war is nationwide - if they are allowed to do this in SY then this will send a signal to every other brigade (and employer) that they can do as they like. It's my understanding that all the Brigade top brass have risen through the ranks from firefighters a classic case of poacher turned game keeper I think. Keep your chins up and stand together I wish you all the best
These bully boy tactics dont suprise me from your chief, he came from a regime that nearly ruined our brigade,(notts). Thankfully the fire authority listened to our comments, emails etc Hopefully your fire authority will do the same. Good luck lads . Great show of strength
Keep your heads up guys. Isn't it incredible that management have had the audacity to call the FBU bullyboys in the past and no doubt will again. Our dedication and committment to the public seems to count for nothing.
I reckon TheZetinlink is a lonely individual. No videos on his page, no friends or subscribers. Probably the only thing he can do to get some interaction with real people. I bet he's great fun over a pint.....shall we take him out for one, poor lad.
TheZetinlik! This music might be from the 1960's and yes there is alot of people who would ''die'' to be in the Fire Service BUT your failing to see the point! Which is firefighters do die in the job, for their job, to save people's lives!! and have done far before the 1960's!! Firefighters are prepared to move with the times and make changes, if the changes are effective and do not have underlining issues, with making cuts in the FIRE cover we provide to the general public we serve!
great music-but i am afraid you sound like something from the mid 1960's. thre are lots of people out in the real world who would die for your job-with more time off than your at work. get real boys and girls
