  • Blagojevich's real crime, I think, is is that haircut.

  • If the democrats had any values they would have voted Nater. TRUTH not lies

  • Blago was dealing with foul-mouthed Rahm. Rahm is notorious for speaking like that. I suspect that it is Rahm who cussed up a storm when Blago refused to be bribed by AIPAC money to pick Schakowsky for the seat.

  • jones,

When will we be able to drink champagne about Obama? It should be clear to everyone now why he only makes calls through his personal cellphone. When will we hear that his calls are being heard and that he is arrested too?

  • If the politicians are this dumb in America what does it say about the people themselves in America?

  • makes me wonder, what other governors and senators are doing things like this.

  • I'm confused!

So is my bid for this senate seat no good anymore?

Who will be taking the new bids? I really want to buy this senate seat. I will throw in two weeks at my time share in Maui if that will get things moving in the way I would like.

  • Peter Fitzgerald can only do so much. I love my state and my city. Moving out wont fix it. Nothing short of armed revolt will change things and we don't really trust that even then the guys who end up in power won't be corrupt too. If we revolted, then we'd REALLY be just like an african country wouldn't we? You also have to understand, that there is blue chicago and the rest of the state is red. Th ered part resents chicago. Maybe chicago should become the 51rst state?

  • Come on!! too cynical. Your fellow Illini need to wake up. No lobbyists? Full IRS disclosure on campaign finance. Investigate the Investigators? Audit the Audtiors and in a expeditious manner. Needs to happen all over the Northeast. I can't wait to move out of NY. Take my money and move out; three more years. Patterson and Bloomberg both Stink.

  • As for me, I love chicago, hate the way things are run, but its part of our tradition our heritage. We get riled up about it, but in general accept it as a fact of life. With blagojevitch's approval ratings at 13% as of october, were all dancing in the streets over here. The only way you can live here is if you have a good sense of humor, and a decent bottle of champaign at the ready for when corrupt officals get nabbed.
