The Twilight Zone (S3 Ep90) Original airdate: March 9, 1962

Written by Charles Beaumont.

Old Ben, who is able to transform himself into anything, tries to help Jenny, a crippled little girl..

(opening narration) It's been said that science fiction and fantasy are two different things: science fiction the improbable made possible; fantasy, the impossible made probable. What would you have if you put these two different things together? Well, you'd have an old man named Ben who knows a lot of tricks most people don't know and a little girl named Jenny who loves him, and a journey into the heart of the Twilight Zone..

(closing narration) Mrs. Gann will be in for a big surprise when she finds this under Jenny's pillow, because Mrs. Gann has more temper than imagination. She'll never dream that this is a picture of Old Ben as he really looks, and it will never occur to her that eventually her niece will grow up to be an honest-to-goodness queen, somewhere in the Twilight Zone..

  • @thekenniewitch

Yes, those were the days. The dollar was also worth more than a cent.

  • @zowlik AWE DARN IT! at least I got the title now, so maybe I'll find it somewhere else. Wish it had the whole thing here. This person only loaded one part of a penny for your thoughts too. Unless they were deleted in part.

  • @bobdahlmusic, ha-- good one .. wonder what Heather Locklear looked like a that age.

  • Then you must be a communist! Really does bring back that 1960s feel.

  • Comic books were one of my favorite things. I spent a bit on them and re-read them and they were a great source of entertainment. Kids today have no idea how to enjoy simple pleasures like these. They are missing out on so much. I am blessed to have been born at exactly the right time in history.

  • In 1963, coke was a dime a bottle, chocolate bars were a dime each, mini-jukeboxes were mounted on tables of restaurants, they had music magazines with the lyrics to popular songs, you could rent a room in a nice, clean house for $8 a week, you only needed one wage to raise 5 kids, own 2 cars and go camping every weekend. Drive-in movies were great and awesome cars. I sure wish that I could relive that time with what I know now. It was FANTASTIC. I was young and wild and life was awesome.
