I wonder what an 8mm lebel 1892 revolver would be like.

@stella47rjd No. That is not possible. The head spacing is all wrong.

Cool guns. I've shot two Webleys and a bunch of S&W N frame .45's, mainly 625. Had an old Tyler T-grip on an old S&W M66-1. I wish someone would come up with a new version of the Webley. I believe Detonics built a few prototypes way back in the 80's, but they never went anywhere with it.

@duelist1954 Ah OK. Lol don't worry about it. You never know... sometimes there are historical reasons for naming things oddly

I have a question about the Webley revolver. If the revolver has been converted to .45 ACP, is there any way I can get it to shoot the original .455, either through moon clips or outright? I know trying to locate a replacement cylinder is practically a long shot in hell, so can I make do with a converted cylinder? (I also don't reload at the moment.)
I've heard the .45 ACP conversion is unsafe for the Webley, and I want to make sure I can shoot it safely if I do decide to buy one.

@64FalconThunder No, you can't shoot converted revolvers with .455 Webley rounds. If you hunt around you should be able to find a .455 cylinder. A few years ago a company was selling complete uppers. I reload .45 ACP specifically for Webley use with a .454 bullet and a 5.1 grain charge of HP-38.

1:09 6 rounds = full moon, 3 rounds = half moon, but 2 rounds = ... quarter moon? Why don't they call it a third moon or something? :-)

@xxxxWaffleSSxxxx It's just me...no math skills. I was an economist. *LOL*
Sorry.

Very interesting! Thanks for the vid, duelist. Is shooting jacketed 45ACP through the Webley okay, as long as if the load isn't too hot? Do you sometimes shoot jacketed bullets through yours? I'd love to own one and I'd be willing to reload for it, but I'd prefer to stick with jacketed bullets.

@lon242 I don't shoot jacketed bullets in the Webley because the bore is .455 rather than .451. I shoot lead .454 bullets, which work well for me in the Webley loaded to fairly modest pressures.
