If you have ever seen a major car accident you may have seen the tool known as "Jaws of life" or the Hurst tool. In a car accident, the entire structure collapses forcing the driver and passengers to become stuck inside. Firemen use hydraulic powered tools to get injured victims out of the car.

One tool used is the "Jaws of life" which is used to pry apart metal and steel.

If you live on Long Island, you should appreciate all the efforts of the volunteer firemen and Ambulance personnel who give their time selflessly to help their neighbors in distress.
