  • I agree looks like yous had a good time. Yous even have proper sticks we always use rolled up magazines lol. How did this come about? Were u taught it or just from the net?

  • The gals in black T shirts at the beginning are kiwis visiting Kansas and taught the game to the Kansas City Chorus. As you can see they loved it. Some loved it so much they cut up their broomsticks so they could practice!

  • Lots of fun learning aye, but wow, when you become astute at it then you learn to do it standing up and throw in groups of four facing each other, throwing to the left and right and diagonal.

I am at you level, the laughing level. and I love it. I use to do it as a toddler. Kai pai to mahi ki a koutou. Tumeke.

  • this was game was taught in every primary school in nz. Still remember this in prmary school. It was usually the poly kids that lasted the longest lol.

  • I went to Mahora Primary School in 1969 and I remember we all used to play this game. We didn't know it was anything unusual. If we didn't play the stick game, it was pois. I now work at a Primary School in Australia and would love to introduce this to our girls.

  • Ka Pai! Bound to bring a smile to your face - maori or not!

  • This is awesome!! I remember doing this as an exchange student in NZ, 12 years ago.. tho we used rolled up magazines too..
