  • Are you making this clueless comment without ever trying the restaurant ? ? ?

I eat in Manhattan weekly. I've also eaten in all the countries you've mentioned, and I'm SURE that you haven't. That being said, your the first person in almost 10,000 views to make that comment, so I don't think Maroni's will be too offended.

There's a reason it's a two month wait for a Saturday reservation. That doesn't happen at Cheesecake Factory or Fridays, genius.

  • My husband & I had lunch here today. Not wanting the tasting menu we were able to order ala carte. Excellent meatballs, eggplant parm, penne ala vodka with shrimp, good bread, wine. I don't understand the concept of 23 courses. Who wants or needs all that food? I'd rather return & try different dishes the next time than gourge myself on everything all at once.

  • Completely understand, but you don't really get stuffed. It's just a taste of 20-23 dishes. You share with the table, so you basically get a bite or two of 20 different things. The beauty is, they'll bring more of whatever you want, and if you're no local, getting there often to try all the different dishes isn't fun.

  • forgot to mention, about the desserts, Are you kidding me? My 5 year old can make better desserts from her Easy Bake Oven. They look like they came right out of a box. Im suprised there wasnt a deep fried hershey bar on there, but maybe @horndog will give them that idea.

  • Horndog must be related to the owner to be so defensive. There is a reason why the restaurant is on Long Island and not in the city. The clientele would laugh. I am surprised there is not a huge number of people walking out with stomach aches after eating all the mixed foods. Good luck to other diners!

  • @horndog171

The joke is that you think it compares to the better restaurants. Would a michelin restaurant serve pringles? I have eaten at more michelin restaurants than you can name. They are booked 6 months in advance . Most of them. In comparing cheesecake factory, they are booked every night not just Saturday. By the way they also serve sliders but not with ketchup packets!

The food is a very poor attempt at at being anything but great. I ate their once and found no value.

  • @msable26

I guess the pringles chips won you over? Maybe they can sell that idea to Daniel's or Le bernadin. YuMMMMMMMYYYY. Please dine out at real restaurants with skill and understanding of how to deliver excellent food to their clientele instead of a hodge podge of buffet food that you eat until you cannot eat anymore!

  • Pringles potato chips? YUMMMMY. I am surprised Daniel's restaurant hasn't thought of using them in one of their dishes.

It seems to me you would be better off going to a buffet and have the same experience for less money. This is an insult to every fine dining restaurant that you might compare this Glorified Pizza place to. Those were not Stone crabs either but rather Jonah crab claws. I heard they lie to their customers about what they really are getting and that many of the items are not made at the restaurant . crab cakes=no crab meat, spring rolls, pekin duck made somewhere else. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you think this is the best restaurant your crazy! It looks like you are served a buffet where the food resembles what you would get at Fridays or your typical pub food. You dine all over the world? would that be limited to Fridays, Cheesecake Factory, etc.? Perhaps you should eat at a fine dining restaurant in Manhattan, Spain, France that make this place look like Big Bird is cooking the food. Sliders, ribs, spring rolls, dumplings? I thought it was an Italian restaurant.

  • I deliver the bread to this restaurant from the Bronx every day. In the 20 years I've been working on Arthur Avenue, I've never had better food than here. Mike and his wife are the best. My brother and I have our tradition of taking the hour ride from the bronx to northport to have the best meal/time of our lives. I wish they were closer. Northport is very lucky to have this oasis in their backyard.
