  • mmm what is that stuff at 0:47 for?

  • Kinda tragic that they're talking about 110 mph trains as something for the future in the US. That's not high speed rail. I live in Britain, so my "Daddy's train" was the Intercity 125, which operated at, as the name indicates, 125 mph, back in the 1970s. It's max speed was 140+ mph. I've ridden on the TGV and the Shinkansen, which have been operating at 200+ mph for years.

People should look at the "Bubble and Beams II" video to see what the *real* future of public transport looks like.

  • California had the same plan for High Speed Rail (HSR) back in 1982. Bullet Trains would come to America - starting in California.

    The HSR Plan NEVER happened.

Thank the corrupt American Government & Corrupt CEO's for that.

Then President Ronald Reagan (1980-1988) was against Amtrak and all it stood for.

Type 'nc3D' for their site on HSR here on YouTube.

The HSR Videos are there. Check them out! ^_^

  • We need something like that here in Tennessee.

  • This will never happen. I live in Ohio, and have been reading in the newspaper about this for over 20 years now. The ------- politicians will see to it that it never comes to fruition. They can't stop the partisan bickering and posturing long enough to decide who it's going to be financed.

One of the biggest mistakes Amtrak made was pulling the Wash-Kans. City route through Columbus Dayton and Indy on 10/1/1979. Sure it wasn't high speed, but it was better than nothing.

  • because they want to expose the high speed rail technology to the public, so they show successful international rail lines. If they (foreign countries) can run extrememly successful/reliable lines, then why can't we do so in the US (OH, NE Corridor, FL, TX, etc)?

  • @00:50 it is ETR-500 of Trenitalia (Italian railways)

  • SWEEEEET!!

  • cool but wtf with " isn't ur daddy's train" lol so random !

  • nope.. this ones white.
