Olympus Tough 8000 Extreme waterproof test. Water depth:around 7-9m
The Camera is certified to reach 10 meters, , the Camera is fantastic.Still working perfectly.
Then I tested the camera with the big waves of El Cotillo beach,no problem. The Tough 8000 resists also to that huge splash zone!
Is the best compact camera I ever used.
The Video has been carried out in Los Lobos Island & El Cotillo beach,Fuerteventura,Canary Islands.
Please refer also to my other extreme shockproof test video with the tough 8000 fixed on a kite!

  • To be correct with anyone I amended the depth indicated in the description. They were actually 7-9 meters. not 13. Sorry if I offended someone.

  • This camera also takes pictures in water or only video? a friend has a similar pattern but with 10MP and in water not take pictures

  • @losteden The camera is able to take pictures also underwater...is a very good and reliable camera,,,

  • No Audio ?

  • @davidlime The first part of the video is without audio because I pushed the wrong button while I was setting the camera in the water. I realyzed it only later.

The rst of the video has audio.

    Ciao

  • Great info man! Thanks a lot! So how long does the battery last on one charge? and how long does it take to recharge?

  • You're wellcome.

The battery has good lenght, around 300/400 pictures depending by settings and use. Recharging is quite fast. It does not require more then half an hour to get fully recharged.
