the vs isnt running on duracell batteries and they are run down slightly, so that could be why

no, i mean it does move his legs and all that but it doesnt walk.

in the manual says it walks better in smooth surfaces but i dont know any smooth surface

well you can just press the forward button. or try changing the mode. if that doesnt help read the manual
