this may be a stupid question but what about cold climates.... these new eco homes are really cool and all but these types of homes are always in hot countrys

ZanderoAwesomo, temperatures in the New Mexico desert range from scorching hot in summer, to below freezing in winter. It's an ideal demonstraion site. This design can deal with all climates (with the possible exception of the arctic?)

I hope to post more tours of other Earthships and more of the interview with Biotech Michael Reynolds. He is quite a pioneering, goal-driven man whose innovative biotectural design and systems is changing the world.
