Alicia Soto-Hojarasca & post theater [ new york/ berlin/ tokyo ] - skinSITEs ver. XI [cell out]

skinSITEs es una serie de espectáculos multimedia para lugares especí­ficos que ha
estado recorriendo ciudades alrededor del mundo durante más de 5 años.
Bajo la dirección artí­stica de Hiroko Tanahashi, esta serie refleja las
situaciones de arquitecturas concretas y singulares en lugares de
transición como las antiguas cervecerí­as, fábricas, centrales
eléctricas, bibliotecas, etc.. cada performance de este viaje
conceptual está creada con un video especí­fico en el lugar de la
presentación.
En el año 2008 la unión artística de post theather [new york/ berlin/
tokio] y Alicia Soto-Hojarasca crea la versión 11 de skinSITEs que es
la primera versión móvil que puede recorrer espacios que compartan
caracterí­sticas comunes donde esta versión es abierta, como en el DA2
de Salamanca.

¿Es la bailarina y coreógrafa Alicia Soto una escultura o una
prisionera que quiere escapar?. Tanto prisiones como museos comparten
una caracterí­stica común, ambos son lugares donde existe un punto
importante de vigilancia, en una prisión los internos son vigilados por
los guardias a través de cámaras ocultas. En un museo, la caja
artística es observada por el visitante. Por añadido, muchas de las
cámaras de vigilancia las ven los visitantes.

skinSITEs is a series of multimedia shows for specific spaces which has
been touring cities around the world for over 5 years. Under the
artistic direction of Hiroko Tanahashi, this series reflects the
locations of specific and singular buildings in places of transit such
as old breweries, factories, power stations, libraries, etc. Each
performance of this conceptual journey is created with a specific video
in the place of presentation.
E In 2008 the artistic union of post theater [new ytork/ berlin/ tokyo]
and Alicia Soto-Hojarasca created version XI of skinSITEs which is the
first mobile version that can be performed in spaces which share common
characteristics as was the case of DA2 in Salamanca.

Is the dancer and choreographer Alicia Soto a sculpture or a prisoner
who wants to escape? Prisons and museums share a common characteristic:
both are places where a significant degree of surveillance exists. In a
jail the prisoners are guarded by means of hidden cameras while in a
museum the artistic is observed by the visitor. Furthermore, many
of the surveillance cameras are seen by the visitors.
