Drypoint etching

Filmed in August 2010 - part of "The Golden Room", a large-scale work-in-progress.
It's going to be a 30-sq.-meter room comprised of 20 large plexiglass prints worked over with egg-tempera, ink and gold leaf.
The plates are 150 x 100 meter each and if I 'm not mistaken the complete work will be more than 20-25 meters long.
My main inspiration for this undertaking are primarily Japanese screen paintings depicting Kyoto of the Momoyama period but also videogames such as Grand Theft Auto with its immense and immersive world replete with emergent incidents, Bioshock with its ingenious artistic design and many others too numerous to mention.
