That is really, really cool. Any chance you might do a follow-up 'teaching video' of that? I can imagine you'd be pretty good as an instructor..

I can't play worth of crap myself but you did a great job on that solo.

Thank you, right now I'm not in the process of recording any new videos due to technical issues.
I'll consider making a lesson when I'm back to recording.

How do you manage the really fast arps of D & E?
The pattern is 9 notes per beat on the ascent and 8 down. You are having to speed up/slow down an absolute fraction when playing at an intense pace.
How do you make the distinction between the 2?

i didn't quite understand the question, about how I practiced it I just played it slowly with a metronome.

What I mean is that when you get to the D & E tapped arpeggios, each ascent and descent takes one beat. Each ascent is 9 notes (like 3 sets of triplets) and each descent is 8 notes (or 16th notes).
So this means to ascend you are playing 9 notes in a beat and when you descend you are playing 8 notes a beat.
My question is how do you time this as it is such a slight shift in speed?
MrLazy23 2 years ago
the only change of speed while playing the arps occurs in the 2 last ones(the fastest ones), for the timing-only the first 3 notes on the high E string in each arp are played faster and the rest is at standard speed(those first 3 notes are 17-10-14(frets) on the first arp and 19-12-16).
