I'm becoming more of a humanist myself...not secular mind you. I think that many Christians often overlook the fact that Jesus was very Human. People are capable of so much more! The worst deeds in the world have been done by humans, as well as the best deeds. I think God has complete faith in people...unrealistic faith if you ask me...but we are capable of so much more. Ireanaus said, The Glory of God is a human being fully alive! I think this stuff is worth struggling through. Thanks!

@lkdsign Thanks! I contacted Tom Stone, the photographer and got his permission for the photos. Had a short conversation with him and am very impressed with his work. He didn't just take their picture, he got to know them. Not sure if he's a follower of Christ, but with his work, he's definitely contributed to the Kingdom of Heaven. Thanks for the encouragement.. the piece still moves me as well.

I have come to be a humanist. I care about the lives and fate of people because they have intelligence and feelings and their needs are REAL.I dispise any dogmatic based system that subverts the minds of children and adults alike for it's own ends and cannot demonstrate in reality what is claimed as honest and truthful.Humanity has to tear down these things and destroy them forever and set itself high standards of truth that unite Humans to improve the only life we may have.

@willspri So...this 'plan' does it include all the horrific and criminal activity since day one?You say there are things happening that can't be seen? Really, just what are these things and just how do YOU know about them then?Or are you trying to tell me that there are things that are happening but you don't know what they are also?That is a strange one I must say.How did jesus 'die' exactly when he was bought back to life 3 days later?

@stratocaster539 and when Jesus was crucified and left to bleed to death on the cross, people mocked him with the same doctrine you mock him, saying "if he really is the son of God, like he claims, let him come down from there" "see if God will help him" and "he healed others, but can't heal himself?" understand that God has a plan, his plan was for Jesus to die for our sins, whatever you or I think on our own is not in God's plan. There are things happening that you can't see.

@stratocaster539 Humanity has corrupted his teachings with their Dogma. Any Dogma that I possess should be focused on Loving others, not being proven right. Thanks for your thoughts. Hope you can find a positive example of God someday. There are some out there :)

@stratocaster539 Just got in on this conversation, 10 months later :) Thanks for taking time to share. I think Josephus mentions Jesus in his history of the period. I think there is a bit of proof of Jesus' existence. i feel for your argument though. Dogma has ruined many an opportunity for peace. Truth is, Jesus, whether people think he's real or not, had a yoke of understanding that simply said, Love God and love others...that's it.

Sad truth but you take one of these people form the street and let them

walk in to one of the churches today and see what kind of reception he recieves. Most churchs today aare more worldly than heavenly .

@sydnee11 there is plenty of historical evidence for the existence of Christ not only in the Bible but from secular historians as well.
