Recently, due to Disney's shift in gaming entertainment strategies, Black Rock Studio, the gaming genius behind Split/Second was hit with massive layoffs. Word is that a Split/Second sequel was in progress, but development has been discontinued.
This video tribute is dedicated to the entire team. Thanks for taking the bold step in creating one of the best racing games to date. Good luck to all & here's hoping one day a Split/Second sequel makes an explosive comeback!

this video makes me want to cry...litterally there is no other video game maker as good as blavk rock studio i dont want this company to be extinct because they are great.They are for me the worlds best video game makers second is criterion games but thats not the point BRS i believe at you YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT YOU WILL GIND A PATH TO COME THROUGH YOUR PROBLEMS BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT!!!!

Great tribute, it is sad news and doesn't really make sense. How are there are so many unfortunately failed games out there developed one after another.. Yet, Disney leaves AAA games like Split Second behind. What goes on in the industry at times is beyond my understanding.
Split/Second is very under-rated, I don't think it was advertised well enough on its release.

@opTreadstone Thanks. What didn't help S/S was the release was sandwiched with Blur, Mod Nation, and released the same day as Red Dead Redemption & Alan Wake. Essentially, buried.
