I have a 2007 SE model of the frontier, manual bare bones 2door bought for 19.5k and besides the crap for tires that comes with the new truck. I have to say love.... I towed and hauled a full bed w/ racks ( 2" above roof ) of wet cotton wood. Stopped at a weigh station said I weighed just over 11.3k. The truck weights roughly with my fat ass in it and a tank of gas.. 4000lbs do the math I was breaking something somewhere

That Pro-4X is a beauty. I still love my 2005 LE 4x4 though. All around great truck, no complaints.

how about the Titan derived frame on it.
wheel travel should be better dual air shocks would help too.

the two are constantly compared, Toyota comes out on top though- better, lighter, gas milage and the double cab is actually nice to sit in the back of a tacoma. Nissans double cab is still a joke.

I just traded in my 1994 Mazda B4000 LE 4x4 (Ford Ranger) with over 200,000 miles (4.0 still strong, body rotting around her) for a 2011 Nissan Frontier, and I am impressed! I owned a 1994 Toyota DX 4x4, which I purchased brand new in 94, and I do like the Nissan better. The gas pedal thing lost me some respect for 'yota.....actually their response (ostrich stance) to the issue.

Resale is better on toyota however your paying $9k more. Nissan secretly blowing out frontiers $20k get fully loaded aight

Tacoma is better and lighter, frontier is pretty balln in crew cab though. I own Frontier right now love it but toyota is balln and little better. They all stink for money $23k used to get new yota loaded now 36k no thangs you dealers and manufacters can keep them

So if you are street cruising your truck all the time honestly it doesn't matter what you buy. Get a Chevy Colorado for all I care. If you want a dependable truck designed for more than street manners I'd definitely go Toyota. You won't notice much difference on the street between most of these new trucks other than interior noise, power and mileage. You might as well buy a car and small trailer if you need to haul soil.
I like my Tacoma, it's a better looking truck.
