Three Guitarists, one Bassist, one Drummer, one Lead Vocalist, and one Oliver Wakeman on Keyboards: Starcastle rocked the majestic Colonial Theater as the headlining act for the opening day of 2007's Rites of Spring Festival in Pennsylvania (a three day progressive rock festival.) It was a great show, bringing back many memories of the band's state-of-the-art progressive rock from the 1970's. The band also played most of the tunes from their equally excellent recent release, "Song of Times". Prog Rock still lives!

  • I know what you mean about the sound not being that great, but considering I took the video on a $150 digital camera, I don't think it was too bad at all! And don't forget that one of the reasons for posting videos like this is to let the band's fans know that the band's not dead yet, they're still alive and kicking!

  • I'm pretty sure that Hawkwind and Magma played this festival as well. Man, I missed out bigtime!

Great song by a great band.

  • Just to clarify things...there are two annual progressive rock festivals in Pennsylvania: NEAR (North East Art Rock) fest (held in Bethlehem), and ROS (Rites of Spring) fest (formerly held near Valley Forge, now being held in Glenside.) Magma and Hawkwind played at Nearfest this past summer, while Starcastle played at Rosfest this past spring. I saw Magma at Nearfest when they had played there in June of 2003. Hortz fur den stekehn west, Magma was awesome!

  • Rick Wakeman's son is the keyboardist? WOW!

  • Oliver Wakeman filled in on keys for Herb Schildt, who played keys on their CDs but was unable to take part in the reunion concert.

  • @jaypatfan I do remember Chances R from 75-79 where I saw them several times and and heard them on WPGU on a regular basis. Awesome shows. Good to see this album is out in a remastered version, my vinyl copy is totally obselete now and I'd love to hear the band again.

  • The bass is jamming great bass song....

  • @eyerock36 Brings back memories! I didn't know they were still around. Thanks for sharing!

  • Anyone remember Chances R in Champaign, Illinois?

  • So is that ex front man (Terry Luttrell) from REO?

  • Thi Thing with Progressive Rock I love the most is the Harmony, Creativity, Imagination Instrumentation and the overall sound that Star castle & Yes are able to capture!!!

  • Wow!! What an arrogant thing to say in such a stupid way!! Music isn't music unless you can tap your foot to it? Just tap your foot in 9/8, 13/8. 3/4 or whatever the time signature is. YES is music taken to the highest level in the rock genre.

  • Hey, why the hell didn't Yes get this guy to sing for them, instead of this tribute band guy they have now...?

  • I would love to see the entire show...

  • to Yes what Triumvirat was to ELP.

I like Rundgren but I don't sound exactly like the dude?
