Jungle / DnB is a bit different story than this. IMO. Those styles went to the ruff side already when this music came out.

i see some say this is electro, others say it is house. but it is detroit techno, and this genre is influenced by the two genres house and electro. detroit techno is a hybrid of electro, chicago house, synthpop, hi-nrg and funk music.
