How to make applesauce with Foley Food Mill and Mirro pressure cooker: Place apple parts (either quartered apples, or peels and cores left over from another apple project) into a pressure cooker or a pot. Cores, skins, and seeds are just fine. Add a little bit of water. A stainless steel pressure cooker will require more water than an aluminum one, but a cup of water should be sufficient. Cook them, covered, until they're soft. Put them into a Foley Food mill and turn the crank. Very easy.

How to make vinegar with apple peels: Put your apple peels, cores, or bruises into a bucket. Add enough water to cover. Cover with a towel, pillowcase, or cheesecloth. Let it sit for a few months, then strain off the liquid.

How to dehydrate apples with Nesco American Harvest food dehydrator: Slice them (I have a Pampered Chef peeler corer slicer to make the job easier). put them into the dehydrator. Turn it on. You might need to rotate trays occasionally. When they're dry (so when you tear one in half, you can't squish liquid out of it), they're done. I store them in the fridge or freezer just to be extra sure they don't turn moldy, in case something wasn't 100% dehydrated.
