I'm not saying there wasn't, but let's be realistic in comparison to the scene today. it really has become absolutely saturated. there's no room for originality it seems, and only few possess it any longer. i do agree, though... there were still clones, but the mindset was totally different back then. it was more of a positive attitude compared to the overall mentality in skating today. but i guess that's just my opinion.

@alyraver they are so gay.
i tryed a pair on for laughs once and i actually felt gay wearing them.
boxers dont fit in them and my dick got all scrunched up.
i was walking around the cloths shop and me and my friends were laughing like crack heads.

OH C'MON DUDE. That's some selective memory if I've ever seen it. You're really trying to act like there weren't a million Muska/Smolik clones back in the late 90s/early 2000's? If so, you simply weren't paying attention.
-
that's not true, bro. look at how saturated skating has become. when shorty's was around people looked up to them and other skaters at that time. now, instead of looking up to people, everyone tries to be their clone. it's totally different now, and you can't deny that. and nothing against skinny jeans but... i mean, come on, bro.
shorty's skate era > today's skate scene

@MAKER6450 yer same here, always wondered how the fuck can people skate in tight jeans? looks proper gay too
-
Seriously all u guys need to shut the fuck up. The only thing thats changed in skating is the style I dnt gve a fukk if u wear r skin tight jeans or If u jeans are baggy as hell we all have the soul of skating and that will never change
-
@SOUTHERNMEXICANBROLE agreed.
-
@ItsADonnybrook exactly.
I get freaked out at the tight arse jeans the kids wear these days.
shortys team was the shit.
-
@MAKER6450 damn right they had the best style ever. still true to this day. none of these little "all-for-stylepoints" kids can or could've hung with the best that shorty's had to offer. seems like all anyone is worried about in skating today is looking like a damn skater. the new crowd has created a worthless stereotype for itself. shorty's was it's own style while all remaining individuals.
-
@moballardful i think a lot of the guys were just growing in different directions and it all kind of fell off the map, unfortunately. shorty's was the brand that inspired me to start skating. it's cool to still watch fulfill the dream and even the guilty movie still shits bricks on the current trend of skating.
i miss shorty's...
so goddamn much
