The slope on the take off field above the dismantled railway (now a path)is 1:8, so just about matches the glide angle of the Vertex! Taking off and flying out & down places the glider with full airspeed right into the lift from the front 'scoop' slope lift :-) Precision Paragliding providing an alternative to the BHPA since the late 90's for BHPA & ex-BHPA pilots wishing to RE-train or new pilot entering the sport who do NOT wish to risk the standards/accident rates produced by 'normal' PG theory, practices & procedures!

  • Hi Alan, no this is about 20Km to the NNE of the flying site you mentioned, this site is next the cemetry/light house at Tayport.

  • good lift there Murray...is this near the battle site just east of Newburgh (black earnside ?) I passed there once and thought that slope might give a bit of lift, looks fine anyway.
