I saw a feral cat killing a bird and then give the bird to her kittens. I'm sure that bird had small bones in its body, and the kittens were just fine.

Raw fowl bones are okay to give to cats. It's the cooked ones that can splinter and choke cats. Zoo cats are given raw meat.

Do not give cats pieces chicken or turkey on the bone. Very likely the bone will splinter and slice the throat or choke your pet to death. ctrench2 is right.
