Alright, I get the importance of making the call however.. the girl I want to go out with explicitly said that I should send a text message to her instead of calling.
I'm guessing this is the exception that proves the rule?

I gave my number out to this guy I met at the bar. He seemed really cool. However the next day, I got my first text from him that said "call me tomorrow". Are you kidding me?? He texted me to call him? I deleted his number.. if some guy doesn't have the balls to call me first, and instead wants the girl to call first, no thanks.

Honestly I don't like calling immediately (I'm a girl). The sole reason is that I don't want to disrupt the person if he/she is doing something. But if the person replies "call me," then I'll definitely call.

well i have this horrible accent and it sounds like am israeli dont ask me why im portuguese/hispanic and my mother language is spanish. they are like omg u have an accent i feel like they making fun of me :/

I TOTALLY FUCKING AGREE.....
People need to understand that all this texting and meeting online shit is just for show! If you GENUINELY wanna get to know someone there MUST be personal and verbal interaction. I always told my ex-fiance to call me whenever she needs to speak, I refuse to text someone that I have any real intimate, bond, relationship with. When you call someone, it shows them that you are actually serious. Girls like confidence in men but men want the same ya know.. >__>;;
