While walking in the Queensland bush we found this Micro Bat, entangled in the grass. He was happy to spend time with us before flying away. What an amazing creation is the Common Sheath-Tail Bat, in all is complexity and echolation abilities

Weird to see him hanging by one foot. Lookit his li'l nose!

Yes, unlike us, they have very special tendons in their feet that are very strong in helping them to grip onto things, but without getting tired. It is actually very comfortable for them to hang upside down, supporting their whole body weight. They only hang right side up when they go to the toilet or need to give birth to their young pups.
