Oh wow awesome video. You should try driving along the M20 when Eurostar goes by especially in the dark the pantographs were flashing like crazy. I believe the expression from someone else in the car at the time was "Lickety Spit".

That explains why the Eurostar was travelling at well below 186mph!

Interesting view that one does not often get unless you are in the back cab! If you was able to pick it up a bit latter towards Westenhanger you would have seen the Pantographs drop as it goes through the Traction Re-configeration ready for ET transit.

I recently travelled on a Eurostar to Paris. If my satnav was accurate after braking to 167 mph for Ashford we *reaccelerated* towards Westenhanger uphill(!!) to 179 mph before slowing for the tunnel!
