@striveandreceive spartans in particular would have sex most often with other men, returning at night to have sex with women. academics agree that the sex with women was more of a duty to procreate more than anything else. these ideas about sexuality seem very foreign to us indeed, and in the odyssey, the idea is not really considered at all, Odysseus has longing for penelope and lust for women only. as much as i would like to consider achilles as "straight" like Odysseus, its not accurate

I love the Iliad it is such a great story, but i don't like how in Troy the movie they over humanified Achilles and over heroified Hector. I mean I was so looking forward to Hector running away from Achilles before Athena comes to him. Also why was Patroclus so much younger then Achilles?
