I've heard bad things about their fuchigashira. like the have a plastic feel, im going to either get the kaze, the tsuru ronin dojo pro, or a custom sword form huawei (not hanwei) kaze is everythingi want, but ive heard theres a good chance im gonna get a bad egg... i want a DH blade really bad, i like the kazes fittings (alot) and brown ito is a must.

@ZentetsukenVII Well, I don't want to steer you in any direction because it's your choice, but I think the Kaze is an amazing sword. It's probably the sword I would be least likely to part with. I treated the blade to an acid bath ( Warm vinegar and a drop of dish soap ) and ten re-polished with Mothers and the hamon jumped out beautifully. Like I said, i love my Kaze. No complains.

hows the tsuka on that sword, im really considering purchasing the kaze, brown ito through paul at sbg, i really donty wanna have to make a new one...

@ZentetsukenVII I know Cheness had a bad rep a few years ago do to cracked tsukas but that problem has long been addressed. Mine is solid. I love this katana.

of course you want a gun too, not only for incase theres too many zombies to fight with a melee weapon but for against looters or psychopaths. :P

@elliotoblio ur comments are 6 months old, but i honestly cannot resist replying to them. first, its illegal pretty much everywhere to carry a katana around. second, you've never killed anyone with a katana. third, you cannot and will not win in a fight using a sword against a firearm, which are legal to conceal carry on your person in many places. And finally, if you ever did have to defend your life and killed your attacker, you need not worry about noise. you'll be calling 911 to report it.
