Nous sommes de l'ordre de Saint Babouyn
L'ordre ne dit mye de lever matin
Dormir jusqu'a prime
Et boire bon vin
Et din din din ...
Et dire matines sur un pot de vin
A nostre diner le beau chapon gras
La soupe au jaunet [jaune d'œuf] comme au mardi gras
La pièce de boeuf et le gros mouton
Et don don don ....
Et voila la vie que nous demandons
A nostre gouter le bon vin clairet
La belle salade au harenc soret [hareng-saur]
Postés de pigeons si-sont [s'ils sont] de saison
Et don don don etc.
A nostre souper les connys [lapins] rotis
Faisans et butor et aussi perdrix
Poussins a l'eau rose et farce chapons
Et dori don don etc.
Et après souper le beau hypocras
La tourte sucrée au fromage gras
les poires confites en plusieurs façons
Et don don don etc.
A notre coucher nous aurons blancs draps
Et la belle fille entre nos deux bras
Les tetins poignans, la motte du con
Et don don don etc.
Et quand ce vint l'eure qu'on sonne minuit
Et fille s'eveille pour prendre déduit
Le compagnon saute chassant a son con

A notre lever les beaux instruments
Trompettes et clairons, tombourins d'argent
Enfants aons soucis jouant du bedon

For dinner a nice fat capon
A soup with egg yolk as on Shrove Tuesday
A side af beef and a good bit of fat mutton

And this is what we ask of life
For our snack, a good light wine
A fine salad of pickled herring
Pigeon-pies if they are in season
And don don don, etc.
At supper roost rabbit
Pheasant and bittern and some partrige too
Young chicken in pink gravy and stuffed capons
And don don don, etc.
And after dinner a fine hypocras
A sweet tart with creamy cheese
Pears preserved in several ways
And don don don, etc.
When we go to bed we'll have white sheets
And a pretty girl between our two arms
Pointed nipples, plump round bum
And don don don, etc.
And when the hour of midnight sounds
And the girl wakes up to have same fun
The good fellow bounds up poking about far a hole
And don don don, etc.
When we get up what fine instruments
Trumpets and clarions, silver tabors
Carefree children playing the drum
And don don don, etc.
