Canada gets between 80 to 100 tornadoes per years. That's a fact. Ontario has an average of 12 tornadoes per year. So seeing twisters in Ontario is not uncommon. What is rare, is to see 18 tornadoes in one day like August 20 2009. An outbreak of this magnitude was the largest in Canada.

@Somborac420 This is a direct quote from the CBC news website: "Possible tornadoes have been reported in Ontario as a line of severe storms swept eastward. Environment Canada said there were unconfirmed reports of possible tornadoes in the community of Fergus and the Township of Blandford-Blenheim, southwest of Kitchener." These reports were also mentioned in the severe thunderstorm warnings yesterday on the Environment Canada website, and they also stated that isolated tornadoes were possible.
