the Taurus suffered from many bad badges like when ford'decided to drop and rename it the 500 and then dropped that and names it the taurus'x....using the freestyle body..what gives

ford made such a bad name for themselves building those cheap tauru's in the late 90's they deserve to go bankrupt.

I traded in my 2008 Honda accord EX V6 for a 2011 Ford Taurus SHO AWD,
pros.. a lot more power than honda ( when you step on the gas you can instantly feel the power, unlike my old Honda) , nicer interior, the interior is really quiet, cons. mileage

I don't think Sonata, Camry, and Accord compares to Taurus. Fusion does. Fusion is a mid-size; Taurus is a full size. For a true comparison to the Ford Taurus -- try Hyundai Azera or Hyundai Genesis, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, and Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger.

Nice looking sedan but the MPG sucks and price is too much, ford needs to fix that.
The Sonata, Camry , and Accord will continue to be the top sedan choice to buy.

what are people complaining about? believe it or not there are some who prefer a larger heavier car. not everyone wants a scrunched up econobox with no room. go buy a smart car if you are that concerned about weight
