So the main idea is to find suitable printable constructions for all parts of a reprap. one way to get around the need for electronic stepper control is to realize the controller in mechanical components. here is a design that utilize the action of two solenoids requiring only a two bit up/down step signal.
The idea is to design a integrated stepper motor and controller that can be printed by another reprap.
