In 2006, a group of Canadian musicians collaborated on a song called simply "Song for Africa" - the proceeds of which went towards fighting the AIDS pandemic. Last summer, a group of these artists actually went to Kenya to raise awareness, work with Canadian organizations on the ground like Free the Children and Care Canada, and film a documentary. The CBC gave one of these artists, singer/songerwriter Simon Wilcox, a small videocamera to take on the trip.
