  • They knew they broke the law when they entered this country. They and their kids should be deported. Too bad it's sad. If you were a PROUD CITIZEN of the U.S. you should be pressing for the enforcement of the current laws like deporting people illegally in this country!

  • I am a proud citizen but I also know that having laws does not make things perfect. Globalization is happening around the world and in order to stay competitive we need the most productive population. This mean we need distinguish the productive immigration from the rest. Then utilize them to make USA a better place. I mean we are a nation of immigrant. We are nothing without them. Albert Einstein was also an immigrant and he invented the atom bomb for USA.

  • Imagine he did that for Hitler when he was in Germany. My point is that, if people like Einstein or very productive people come to USA illegally then we should try to keep them for our own good. There is a huge amount of illegal immigrants children with awesome grades can't go to college. As a result many join a life of crime. Keeping them on jail also cost our tax money.

  • Instead of keeping them away from college we should let them go to college because we need them to maintain our superpower status.

  • @sppxpc I'm a proud citizen, and I support the Dream Act.

You're wrong, the kid's did not know they were breaking a law, usually they think they are going for vacations, or moving to a new house. They don't find out they crossed the border illegally and that what they did was wrong until they try to get a license, or apply for college.

  • So, instead of deporting the productive immigrant population we should use them; make them pay tax to increase the country's productivity.

  • My third point is that American demography is changing. In 70 years we will have more colored Americans than white Americans. The white population in America is declining. However, the color Americans is not receiving higher education as proportion to white population despite affirmative action and other programs. So, if we still want to be the world's superpower we will need a good amount of educated population.

  • Secondly, we are in a situation where we can't possibly deport all illegal immigrants. I feel the smartest thing to do is to filter the most productive ones from the rest. When a child goes to school and do very well they should be allowed to go to college because they will just add to our nation.

  • Let's face the reality, if you were on a boat that was sinking and you see a ship next to the boat with a hole then you would obviously jump on that ship. People do not leave everything around them if they were happy at the first place. However, if every people from broken boats jump on the ship the ship may sink as well. Therefore, I am not defending all immigration. But, my point is that it is human nature to seek for better live and we can call these people criminal.
