  • This is in fact, an arrangement of the Chaconne by Eugen D'Albert, hence the "beefing up" of the left hand part.

  • @RollaArtis ha, i was wondering if she had arranged it herself or not :) i'll put it in the info box

  • I only know because I have a Phillips piano roll of Ella Rafelson from C.1920 playing an identical arrangement of this Chaconne - on the label it says "Handel - D'Albert". Annie Fischer was from a generation which no doubt was hugely influenced by D'Albert's reputation.

  • thumbs up! ;)

  • @berlinzerberus Ohh totally agree, but the world has forgotten her..:( what a shame..

  • What a great unique artist!

    Wonderful!!

  • i feel like i can listen to anything AF plays. you can trust that she can even overcome any deficiencies on the part of the composers

  • Even now the most splendid performance I know of this magnificent piece of Handel.

  • How wonderful! So much emotion.

  • @tommyIglesias Google the Petrucci Music Library.

  • @morinoroba [^ -^]

  • @Noshirm You are so kind...Anyway I respect Noshi san's wonderful English skills very much ! :-D

  • @morinoroba Welcome, Lady Ai! (:-D) Yeah, Annie Fischer's approach to playing is vigorous, dynamic. She plays with feeling, with great nobility of emotion, and yes, her sound is magnificent. By the way, I would GLADLY rid myself of my ostensible skills in the English language if I could create the beautiful art you do - or play the piano as marvelously as you do! Hai, Ai!! (:-0)
