  • OMG REAL FOOD!!!

  • It was a magical time. People had class back then. I don't know what happened to this country. I wish I would have been born in the 1920's or 1930's so that I might have been able to enjoy American at it's peak instead of it's decline.

  • Ladies and gents the A380 has landed.

  • What hurt Pan Am was a series of in flight terrorist events. And then Lockerbie. Their logo got shown over and over again with the wreckage. People began to associate the logo of Pan Am with that horrible event and their decline was sealed. Sigh.

  • @alspry probably would be better off in the 40's. i'm not too sure how pleasant it would be growing up in the depression

  • @lupe045 thanks for understanding where I'm coming from. Other commenters here simply don't seem to get it. Maybe because they're used to things as they are today with no proper reference point. Maybe because they're brainwashed by the media. I don't really know.

  • @alspry Don't forget that back in those days flying was only for the super-wealthy. These people were all members of the upper class.

  • pan ammmm

  • @alspry You don't know what you're talking about. If you would have been born back then, then you'd be wanting to have been born 70, 80 years earlier and saying the same thing about those times that you're saying about today. There is always class. You just don't know where to find it.

  • That was from a time when only the "elite" could afford to fly. No such thing as a $99 flight or travel deal sites. You had to pay for the experience, but that is exactly what it was. It is still available if you are willing to spend the cash. You get what you pay for, no matter what year it is.

  • those were times when being a flight attendant was REALLY worth it.. :)
