Before you fools get too nostalgic about commercial aviation in the 50s, realize that there were airline crashes virtually every year back then. Today there's perhaps 1 crash every 5 years despite there being 20 times as many annual flights. And flights in the 1950s seemed luxurious because they cost $10k for a trip from LA to NY (in 2012 dollars). Only rich people could fly. Today you can fly first class for 1/5 that price. There's nothing better about 1950s aviation over 2012 aviation.

It's much harder to locate, nowadays. And yes, I do know where to find it. Again with the assumptions.

Also a time when people with a real rebuttal didn't bother focusing on others' punctuation. I'm a quick typist, so sue me. And I'm sure you're absolutely perfect in every way.

The glory days of air travel when they had Stewardesses, not flight attendants.

yes, all that is very true, many crashes a year, but if you survived the flight (and many did) it was a memorable experience...

I flew around the world when I was 13 in 1983 and it was better than now. We ate real dinners and there was leg room. Not like the turbulent weather we've had in the last few years in sardine condition with not even peanuts because some 1 in a million allergy person might get an attack of the sneezies.
