  • Getting Don Felder and Joe Walsh were the best things to happen to the Eagles.Felder especially always seems to be criminally underrated,a hugely talented and tasteful guitarist.Walsh is simply epic, one of the alltime greats.Together they were one of the best guitar duo's ever.

  • Best song never laid to vinyl.

  • Nice to see just the Eagles on Stage instead of umpteen session musus.

  • This is RIDICULOUSLY GREAT

  • @beckkyybabee Don Felder IS the reason The Eagles took off like wildfire in 77 on through the 80's. They used him to get rich then through him away like a piece of trash when it was time to enter their twilight years and do Reunion Tours every 3 years to keep the bank accounts of Henley and Frey filled to the brim so they could continue to live the lavish lifestyle they've grown so accustomed to. Henley and Frey are RUTHLESS CEO's of The Eagles Corporation.

  • @matthewrattigan Thanks Matthew,

  • @samlo098 Walsh has always played since he joined them, and was in Hell Freezes over, the 2001 farewell tour onwards has been without Don Felder, he is replaced by a session player called Stuart Smith, hope this helps

  • Maybe it was another concert before hell freezes over? he is not listed anywhere as a band member ?

  • I have a question , Who was the lead guitarist who played with the eagles on tv when Walsh didnt play. I think it was the Hell Freezes over concert. It wasnt Felder, I was trying to find out and it is bugging me !!!!

  • @r5t6y12,

For those of you have may have the book, it includes stories of J.D. Souther and Jackson Browne, and the houses that these guys lived in and how some of the song titles came about, and a few other things...

But the combined talents of all 7 men (and the flavorings that they put in their music) were ALL good. Randy and Timothy's high voice, Bernie's banjo, the guitar solos that sound like they took a few weeks to compose because there was never a note out of place...

  • I've only owned 2 EAGLES studio albums...The Long Run and a recent compilation album of 2 discs with a book included.

The book covers the stories behind the songs that were written and a few tidbits about the lives that the 7 men were going through in the 70's. I think that they group was great because of the overall talents of ALL 7 of them.

I won't say that any lineup was better than any other. They were all good when they were young.
