GUUUYS! I DON'T THINK L REALLY DIED! I think that he made B tak his place at some point (flawlessly too), and this was BEFORE Rem. L "controled" B from a distance, probably with an earpeice raidio thingy. Since L and B are both chronic liers, it would be easy. Then when Rem went to kill who she thought was L, she put down B's name. And since he sort of "is" a shinigami, he might not've died either, just faked it, or he really did die. I can't garuntee Watari though. Continued in next comment.

@caylieandgerbils ya, but no one knew B's name. And if MISA had killed him, then wouldn't the LABB Murder Cases say that the second Kira killed him? Since Mello spilled everything else in the book for Near.

I would slap them till their eyes started bleeding. Besides, I don't think L actaully died. I think that when Rem killed Watari, she lost her power to her Death Note and L figured it all out when Watari died. He faked his death and went into hiding to test his successors. Which of course when Light went into that warehouse or whatever it was, L was currently in, knowing Light would go there and watched as he died. Then he continued being L and trained Near to also becoming a detective.
