Instead of making this video you should check your background.... If you know where you came from...

@feiticeiral Not really sure what this means, or why we can't do both. Speaking for myself (Sean), I am descended from Irish & Italian immigrants, with a mixed background including French, Polish, English and other ancestors, and also my great grandmother was Cherokee. That last was one reason why I wanted to do this video.

This is disrespectful and Stupid

You're entitled to your opinion, but it wasn't intended to be disrespectful. It's satire, and it's intended to speak against the white American/ Eurocentric hegemony that subjugated the people native to this land and relegated a noble tradition to second-class status in a country that's supposed to prioritize liberty and inclusion.
Oh, and yeah, most of our stuff is stupid, in some form or another.

I understood what the intention was, but in the process of doing so, you just invoked the images that continue to pervade the mainstream imagination, and misappropried an interpretation of native dress styles, etc. The thing about the noble mission that you took on is that unless watchers understand it in that way, it doesn't necessarily help.
Anyway, I wasn't attacking you @scamon01

@mwildmustang19 Much of satire, when used in a political context, will not be understood by those who don't already agree with the satirist. The ones you're making fun of often don't get the joke. But some will, and maybe you change their minds. That's what we were trying to do - and if you don't think we pulled it off, that's a valid opinion. We'll keep working at it.
