Brilliant! Kept me laughing whilst I was on hold to the stupid gas company and even helped me not to explode at them. Another place for you to visit is the one the Romans called Deva you can shoot any Welshman within the City Walls there!

If they are all as much fun, please continue John! York is a fascinating town. It has a beautiful Cathedral where medieval knights are buried, a great river where you can get on a boat, have a meal and party. There are many pubs which facilitate the ghostly image you describe too. One thing kinda put me off; they still have a law which says that the people of York can, nay MUST shoot a Scotsman on sight....with their deadly bow and arrows lol. 'Tis why this Scot kept his mouth shut!

Thank you Hic! I truly cannot wait to explore York as soon as I am in England. However, we must warn PeriUrban (UrbanBlog) about their peculiar laws regarding Scotsmen!
