Great review, I have never been intrigued by Acquire as I haven't looked passed the theme, but thanks for opening my eyes to what looks like a great game.

This game is pretty dang fun once you get the hang of it. Personally, I enjoy the original 1960s version in which you create massive prestigious hotels instead of multi-million dollar corporations. But it's all the same game.

actually commented before seeing the 99 version reference, i bought mine for 55$ 3 months ago, my gaming group LOVES IT.
and btw, its TONS more fun with secret money and stocks

this seems to be a board game version of an old kaypro computer game called "star trader" or trader.
