Bill Harvey is a Labor Historian and a longtime activist for Peace and Social Justice. He was one of the speakers at an anti-war rally, held in Baltimore, MD, on March 19, 2008. Mr. Harvey is associated with Maryland Universal Health Care Action Network (MD. UHCAN). It champions a single payer health care system, like the one in Canada. Mr. Harvey ripped into the current "profit-driven" health care mess. He added: "There is plenty of money in that military budget and [President George W.] Bush's tax cuts for the rich that could be going" to take care of the health needs of a great many Americans. The event was captioned: "Winter Soldier and Baltimore Speak Out." It was held at the Govans Presbyterian Church. Carla Nealy served as the Emcee. For more background on MD. UHCAN, see:
